What is a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
This quantity specifies the smallest quantity of a product that we can supply to our customers for one or more of the following reasons:
Outer Packaging - Most of our products are used within the food and pharma industry sectors, therefore we do not split open outer packaging for hygiene and to minimise risk of possible contamination.
Pre-Packed Product - In some cases we have repacked, or prepacked product to be the most freight efficient through our national courier and/or carrier distribution network. Any change to supplying in this quantity, or multiple of, would mean extra labour and cause waste packaging and then additional packaging costs that are generally unrecoverable.
Factory Packing - This is usually applicable with our blow moulded product range where we palletise at the moulding machine once the pallet quantity has been reached. Palletisation could require the use of layerboards and corners to ensure that the product is fully protected from point of manufacture, through to bulk storage, and then dispatch to our customers site for filling. However, we often offer an alternative "pre-pack" product line where less than pallet quantities are required.
Minimum Order Value - As we are a trade based enterprise, we run on commercial margins as opposed to retail based margins, therefore each individual order must reach a minimum value of NZ$100.00 excluding GST or Freight content in order for it to be financially viable to process through to completion.
