Product Stock Status

What does Product Stock Status Mean?

This generally refers to availability of a product line to be supplied to meet your requirements.  Examples within this website include:

Ex Stock - This would indicate a core product line where we focus on ensuring that we can supply the product from stock on hand and have ready for dispatch within 2-3 days throughout the year.

Check Availability - These product lines are generally not a core stock item, or may be held in stock in certain times of the year due to seasonal demand.  This could also mean that the product is an INDENT line, but to meet minimums in order to supply a customer order, we have been left with some residual stock.

Indent - These product lines are only sourced to supply customers orders and will have a lead time ranging from 1 to 12 weeks which is dependent on the location of the manufacturer as well as the production lead times associated with that product.  There are normally Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ's) that come into effect for these product lines.  Please check with Customer Services or Sales Representatives on lead times applicable.

Moulded / Made to Order (MTO) - This is usually applicable with our manufactured blow moulded and injection moulded product ranges where we will generally mould for stock in one or several colours, so can the mould in a "custom" colour while the tool is in production.  If quantities meet MOQ's, we can also put the tooling in and run just that custom colour to provide for a shorter lead time.

Out of Stock - As we are an importer / distributor as well as a NZ manufacturer, we rely on domestic and international supply chain logistics to provide a large proportion of our product range.  In some cases, some of those product lines have long lead times, or are slow moving product lines, or need to be consolidated within a bigger shipment in order to make shipping viable.  In other cases, the supply chain may have become broken due to increased shipping costs, increased product costs, or other reasons why we may had to make the decision not to restock that product until it became more viable to replenish our stock holding.

Awaiting Arrival - This means that we have ordered replacement stock of an existing product and due to logistical reasons, the supply is behind time so are temporarily Out of Stock.  It could also mean that it is a new product to our range, and we are waiting on the first stock shipment to arrive into our stores.

Discontinued / Clearance - All products have a lifecycle, and at COPACK, we do our best to stay current with product options across the markets that we supply.  This means introducing NEW products that have better attributes and technologies than what we may have been offering previously.  We will generally make the decision to then discontinue the OLD range which may see us with some residual stock that we will sell at reduced pricing for a limited time before we grind it up and then repurpose the material generated.
