Description
The 885 Litre Collapsible Pallet Bin is a large volume product and is ideal for large lighter loads, and has also been one of our most popular collapsible bins. They have a slightly different base design which means that they are not inter-stackable with the 400 Litre and 785 Litre Collapsible Bins These bins have two runners on the outer edges of the base as well as steel tubes inserted through the base to provide central support to cope with heavy loads without compromising the integrity of the base.
This bin has higher sidewalls than the 785 Litre bins as well as a deeper base which provides the increased capacity and an increased return ratio as the folded bin measures 345mm in height when collapsed down. There are two access doors, or drop gates, per bin. These access doors enable the user to release the door by a spring loaded latch, let it fall to the side, and then reach into the bin and pick contents from the base area without needing to over extend themselves as is the case with bins that do not have these access doors fitted. Both access doors are located on each of the 1200mm sides meaning that access can be easily obtained wherever the bin is positioned.
These bins come equipped with Label Holders so that a a card denoting the contents can be inserted allowing users to ascertain what is inside without needing to visually check and inspect the contents when the bins are stacked on top of each other in storage or in transit. Lids are not supplied as standard for these bins, however a Drop On Lid is available as an optional accessory.
The 885 Litre Collapsible Bins have encapsulated fork entry on the 1200mm side, and open entry on the 1000mm side enable the use of 4 way entry pallet trucks (jiffy lifts). The skids have bevelled surfaces to assist in pallet trucks gaining access from the 1200mm side which enhances usability in area where the bins may be in close proximity to each other in confined areas, i.e. in the back of a close sided truck and trailer unit where the user may need to move the bins by pallet truck onto the tail lift or loading ramp.
As these bins are manufactured from different components, it is possible to replace sidewalls, bases, and skids should they become damaged through intensive usage, or by forklifts. We stock the 885 Litre Collapsible Bins as a core product as the larger bins are more popular due to the increased return ratio that can be achieved.
